Such a busy day!!!

Why is it that days off always fly by but work drags?? I just had two days off and they seemed to go by in a flash. I didn't even really get to enjoy them by relaxing we were go go go! Today we got up and I went straight to the eye dr to order prescription sunglasses then came home and went on a unintentional cleaning mission. Hubs and I spent the whole day cleaning and organizing and getting rid of so much junk, it was nice to de clutter a little bit, but we still have more to go. Before I knew it it was time for Zumba. Monday Zumba is my fave workout class of the week and it seems to fly by. I love the music and the moves it's just a lot of fun. Then my friend invited me to go to a kickboxing class with her and hour after zumba ended and I decided to do it. It wasn't as intense as the zumba was but I still had fun. I think I may start doing that every monday after zumba. looking forward to spin express tomorrow but I'm pooped and I have to work the next five days time to get some rest.

So far I have had great success with ww down 11lbs and have hit my first mini goal of losing 5% of my original weight. This has been the only one that works for me and  I can't wait to hit my ultimate goal!

Weigh in!!

Today was my weigh in and to be honest I was little nervous because of how I ate the mexican food that my grandma made me at the beginning of the week but when I got on the scale it read 174.2!! That is a loss of 2.8lbs!! I was so happy I have been trying really hard and the last two weigh ins have been pretty shotty which can be really discouraging so I'm happy to see that things are back to normal and the scale is heading back in the right direction. Today we went hiking with some friends I hiked the same mountain about a month or more ago and I had a pretty difficult time. Now being 10lbs lighter I could definitely tell the difference it wasn't as hard. I love hiking so much but hubby is not really into cardio since he is trying to gain weight I think I'm going to try to start going in the am before it gets hot here. Then I went to the tanning salon. It's been a while since I have gone. I signed up for three months then I'm going to cancel it cuz it will be pool time here in az. I'm looking forward to getting some color. Yes I know the risks so please hold all opinions : ) Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and have a healthy week Zumba tomorrow can't wait!!!

Back to regular scheduled programming...

It's been a while I have had a jam packed week and by the time I get home I'm exhausted so I haven't been around to write but I have been reading everyone's blogs while I'm at work but I'm not able to comment. Monday and Wednesday was zumba and Tuesday I did my first spin express class which was awesome but really intense. I also did the ab butt and thigh class again and I came to find out that I have a super weak core. We did a plank move where you lean forward and backward on your toes then stop and stay in plank and stick one leg out to the side at a time its crazy out of the three people in  the class I was the only one that couldn't do it : ( I tried my hardest but I was too weak. But that gives me something to work towards!! Tomorrow is my weigh in looking forward to seeing it I didn't do too well with eating well just in the dinner department at the beginning of the week my grandma made me green chili  I went to her house and I haven't seen her in a few months (few months too long!) and she had green chili, beans, and salsa made for me. The first thing I did was panic. Thinking, how can I track this? how bad is this? what's in it? Then I just sat back and said this is ridiculous my grandma is getting older she never has energy to really do anything and I'm not going to over think this and I'm going to enjoy it in the correct portions and that's exactly what I did. It was so delicious and I have no regrets!! I have the next two days off with my hubby and I'm looking forward to what I see tomorrow.

Since I have been off of here I need to get caught up on my 30days of pics. I'm not going to bail on it I have to complete something for once in my life!!

weigh in

Yesterday was a busy day went to worked then went to dinner with the father in law for hubby's bday. I think I did fairly well I looked at the menu earlier in the day and decided what I wanted to eat so I wouldn't be tempted later and I decided on the tilapia. I'm so glad I decided on it, it was so delicious it was on top of spinach and tomato's with an mango glaze on it. I had two glasses of wine and two biscuits with cesear salad. I was little worried going out to dinner the night before a weigh in because of the sodium but I can't put my life on hold because of weigh in. I have to just make the best choices with what is given to me. So this morning I got on the scale and saw 177.0 that's a loss of .8lbs this week. I took a second pee in the am and got back on the scale and it said 176.2 but I'm going with the first weigh in and calling it a day. I put the scale up in the closet and I'm not going to use it until next Sunday I want to be excited when I see my weigh in and not seeing the up and down changes all week. I missed my pic for yesterday since I was so busy so I'm going to do it now : )

feeling off today...

So I didn't have a good nights sleep last night I was up at all hours and every little noise woke me up. Then hubby had to be up at 4:45 and once he left I could not get back to sleep for like an hour and once I did it seemed like my alarm went off right after I fell asleep. Then I went to zumba and I just couldn't get into it... the Monday class I got to is more hip hop modern music when this one is more salsa which obviously is what zumba is all about but I just felt blah when I was there. Then I saw my reflection in the mirror in the class and I just felt so upset about every flaw I had. It seemed like that mirror highlighted everything I don't like about myself and I felt like I was the fattest one in the room. I got on the scale this morning and it was back to what it was last Sunday earlier in the week I was down to 175 now back up to 177. I have been eating right, following all my points, working out more then ever and it's up. I think I need to stay away from the scale and only go on it once a week. I'm not going to think about it anymore until Sunday. Anyway so I had a delicious dinner tonight it was quick and easy.

I baked my chicken first using a little bit of garlic salt and onion powder at 375 for about 35-40mins then I used 3tbs of salsa on the chicken with 1/4cup of cheddar cheese and put it in the microwave to melt the cheese. I wanted my measurements  to be exact instead of just putting it on the chicken in the oven.  While the chicken was cooking I steamed my veggies and added one tsp of butter and I have enough chicken left for lunch tomorrow.

Another day another pic and recipe!

Today I took the day off from the gym I am incredibly sore from the workout last night it even hurts to sit on the toilet I haven't been this sore in a long time, but tomorrow is Zumba!! So for dinner I wanted something different so I threw together this recipe and it came out so good but it wasn't very filling I was still hungry after.
Start with making biscuits I bought the low fat ones

After they cook cut them in half

Then I split 1/4cup of tomato sauce on two pieces then used 1/4cup of cheese on both then topped it with turkey pepperoni and added some mushrooms on some of them. I put them in the oven at 350degrees until the cheese melted.

I'm pooped!!

I just got home from the gym and I am exhausted!!! I went to a Abs, gluets, and thigh class and it kicked my butt but I like that feeling!! After that I did c25k week 2 day 1 on the treadmill it felt good to run again since I was sick last week. Then after I was done I walked on the treadmill and watched the biggest loser. I have never seen that show before and it seemed pretty interesting I think I may start to record it. So I took a peek at the scale this morning and I was down to 175.0 So I hope that sticks through to the end of the week I guess eating right and working out really can make a differnce. So onto day 5 of my pictures.

Day 4 of pics and Zumba!

So today I was off of work and I had a nice day with my hubby. We got up around 10 and went and ran some errands then came home and relaxed until around 515 then we headed off to the gym and I went to zumba it was a blast! I love it then when I was done I did some ab workouts and walked on the stairmaster until hubby was done with his workout. I came home and used my steamer to make some fish and veggies and everything came out delish! So now I'm onto day four of the 30days of pics.

Weigh in, recipe, and day3 of 30

So it's officially my weigh in day and I am really disappointed with my results. I was up 1.4lbs bringing me to 177.8. I know what I did wrong last week and now and I know what to do to to fix it. The whole being sick thing threw me off and I didn't pay to close attention to points until the end of the week and by that time it was too late. So Sunday starts a new week and I'm looking forward to it!!! I found a recipe on another bloggers page on a green smoothie. I made my own version of it and it was so delicious and only 2pts+
filled the glass perfectly

I used
blended those together
then added 1cup of spinach-0pts+
and then added 1/2cup of low fat plain yogurt-2pts+ and ice blended all together and it was so yummy! It was my first green smoothie. I have been wanting to try one new recipe a week and this was my recipe for this week. Last week I tried ww chili that I got out of their store recipe magazine

Chili Picante:
Points Plus Value: 6
Prep: 1 minute
Cook: 14 minutes

3/4 pound 93% lean ground beef
1 cup refrigerated prechopped tricolor bell pepper
1 cup medium picante sauce
1 cup water
1 15 ounce can black beans, rinced and drained
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 cup reduced fat sour cream

1. Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add beef and bell pepper to pan; cook until beef is browned, stirring to crumble beef.

2. Add picante sauce and next 3 ingredients to pan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 8 minutes. Ladle into 4 bowls; top evenly with sour cream.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: about 1 cup chili and 2 tablespoons sour cream)

Last time I tried one of these type of things I failed miserably but I am going to try it again so here goes nothin!!!

random thoughts

So I don't get it I got on the scale again this morning and was up again! I'm sure it had everything to do with the sushi I had last night and I told myself not to get discouraged I am almost to my 10lbs loss on weight watchers and obviously this is working for me. I can't throw in the towel until I see that I'm consistently gaining or not losing at all it hasn't been even a week yet but still it stinks. I know I haven't been on plan as far as my eating goes. I barley have been eating since I was sick and when I would eat I would eat crap food and not eating all your points or close to it doesn't help too so I'm trying to best to not get discouraged and I'm trying to take a step back and look at what I have done wrong. This is just not a good week for me we are having friends over for dinner tomorrow so I can control that but then we are going to a christmas party (yah I know random and late ) so I will do my best to say no and make the best decisions. Anyway on a different note I got this water bottle
I haven't quite decided if I like it or not. I like how its small and compact and has a handle which makes it easier to carry and its size helps when I'm at the gym but the whole biting of the nob thing to get water out is hard for me. It's not comfortable and sometimes my jaw starts hurting since I drink a lot of water. Do any of you guys have this bottle and if so what do you think?

Hubby and I are trying to figure out what we want to do for our anniversary. It's not until March 5th but we want it to be something fun and good we are doing the a-z thing. Where each anniversary you go somewhere that has the first letter of the alphabet depending on what year your at. ex 1st anny=a (arizona, anaheim, alaska) 2nd anny = b ( boston, bahamas) and so on from there. We live in Az and were thinking of just getting a cabin and having a relaxing time and it's something we enjoy doing. The place we got married at gave us a voucher for one free night and we wanted to use it the night of our anniversary and do the cabin earlier in the week so we called today to book it and they were completely booked : ( I'm so bummed but it makes sense because that is the wedding peak time and its a Saturday. So we are thinking of just going one night in one of the upcoming weekends.

ok I'm better now!!!

Oh I'm so relieved to be better now it's been a week!!! It's the longest I have ever been sick. I think I'm for sure going to get a flu shot next year because that was awful! Anyway I'm happy to be back in it I had a few slip ups eating wise over the weekend. I would go the whole day without eating since I lost my appetitie then I would be to weak to cook and hubs would be tired so we ordered pizza one night and applebees to go. I obviously didn't use my whole points each day but what I did eat was not that good for me. It was comfort food while I was sick. I know I made bad choices but I'm not going to dwell on it since I know what I was doing and I didn't blow my points out. Now that I'm better I have been back on plan even though Hubby and I are going to sushi tonight. I can't wait. Last night I went back to the gym!!! I can't believe it! It's the first time I have gone in a while (well I went last week to Zumba but it's been a while since before that) I decided I wanted to start c25k again so I did week 1 day 1 on the treadmill. I don't know why but the treadmill seemed harder to run on then outside. I miss running outside but I want to complete c25k once and for all! The only thing that was a bummer is this morning when I got on the scale it was up .6 I know that's not very much and my actual tracking weigh in day for ww isn't till Sunday but I was bummed. I haven't been regular as far as my bowel is concerned sorry tmi I know so I figure since I didn't go yesterday it may have something to do with it. So we will see what happens tomorrow!!

It got me....

I thought I could dodge it but my lovely husbands flu got me. Well I'm not sure what it is but I have a fever and body aches and I'm super tired along with an awful flemmy cough. I'm so bummed because I was just getting back into the flow of working out to accompany my weight watchers. So I stayed home from work all day and only left my bed to go to the restroom now I'm back to my couch and still have a low grade fever well its 100.3 so I'm just going to lay around and hopefully get better fast I hate being sick and I just want to be better already even though it's only been one day. I'm already ready to get back into it and start working out. I saw 176 on the scale this morning and I can't wait to hit my first weightwatchers mini goal of 175lbs 5% of my original weight!!!

Holy Zumba and 30day shred!

So today I decided to open up my 30day shred and give it a shot and boy oh boy was I surprised I thought to myself 20mins that's nothing. I seriously could not keep up!! I was pooped it's really hard!! So about 30mins later I finished and was so happy to have it done. I wasn't quite sure how to track it in my activity tracker though. Any suggestions? I just did aerobics=low impact. Then tonight I attended Zumba at my local gym. I have attended Zumba before and it was pretty blah and boring but this lady was intense it was so fun but hard!!! I was the only new person there and boy was it obvious I was all over the place when it seamed like everyone else knew what they were doing. I was soaked with sweat when I left and I had an awesome time!! I can't wait to go next Monday or later this week. It's a different girl but I think I may give it a shot.

So also today I went with a friend who's wedding I'm in to get my bridesmaid dress. I was a little disappointed that she wanted to go so early because her wedding is not until June and I plan to be at goal by then. I had to order a 14 which sucked. I want to be around a 6 when I'm at goal. That is a lot of taking in. She didn't want to wait on having them ordered so I had to order too big just in case for some reason I don't hit goal and I don't even know what size I will be at that point. But I guess it will be nice having to have it brought in : )

Weekly Weigh In

So with WeightWatchers my weekly weigh in day is Sunday. My hubby has been sick the last couple of days so I was up a lot this morning with him making sure he was ok. So that led to us not getting out of bed until around 4pm today. Yes 4pm it was ridiculous we would wake up a few times then go back to sleep but finally got out of bed at 4. I got up did my "morning" pee and got on the scale. It read back to me 178.6!!! Yay yay yay. So far I have lost every week I have a weigh in. That has never happened to me I wish I wouldn't of have waited so long to get on the weightwatchers train. Anyway When I signed up for weightwatchers it had me set a mini goal of losing 5% of my body weight I'm only 3lbs away from that. I can't wait to see 175 on the scale. I honestly can't even remember the last time I saw it. When I saw the mini goal and that it would be 10lbs lost I never thought I would get there. I decided to change that mentality and tell myself I can't wait until I get there. I have to believe that it's possible and I will accomplish it. I'm trying my hardest not to get sick but the flu is pretty contagious I hear so I'm loading up on vitamins and fluids and I'll keep my fingers crossed I don't get the bug. ps these are amazing!

2011 is my year!!!

So I finished the year weighing in at 182 down 12lbs since August. I can't wait to see what the new year brings me! I am focused and I know I can hit it by June if I stick with it. That's only 6months!!!! I was down to 178 last week but Christmas came and I'm not going to beat myself up about it I had an awesome time with family and my hubby and I will cherish the memories I think that makes up for 2lbs. Now it's time to focus!! I don't really have any "resolutions" more goals.

1. Be at 135lbs by June 1st that's 21weeks so if I lose 2lbs a week which I was doing for the first two weeks of weight watchers and now I'm going to add in workouts I will be at 140lbs by the first week of June oh how I can't wait and just in time for bathing suit season and I have a pool!

2. Attend at least 1 workout class a week

3. Run a 5k in the spring. I can't wait for it to warm up a bit so I can get out there and finish c25k once and for all and sign up for my first race!!!

4. Become more spiritual. I believe in God and I feel I have a semi decent relationship with him but I know it can improve greatly for both me and my hubby. We have a couples devotional bible that I want to start using and I also have a daily devotional for people on a weight loss journey that I would like to start reading everyday.

5. Try to take my dogs on a walk at least 3x a week they need exercise too and they love walks!!!

6. Become a better wife to my wonderful hubby. I don't think I'm a bad wife but there are things I can improve on that would for sure improve our marriage.

That's really it. I can't wait to see the results that the year brings both physically mentally and spiritually.
