It's workout time!!!!

well I have been at the gym every day since Sunday switching back and forth of cardio and weight lifting. I did double workouts today. I want to start doing two a days everyday up until vegas to get down my 10-15lbs. 10would be awesome and I would love 15 of course, but I also want to do this the healthy way and not lose too much too quickly. I got a subscription to the prevention magazine app on my iphone that shows you a bunch of different workout routines and I did the ab/bust the cellulite routine tonight. It wasn't too difficult but we will see how I feel in the morning.

I already made my hungry girl recipe of the week. I actullay have made two of them.
I made her mini taco salads
3pts+ for 2
and I also made her "lord of the onion rings" I forgot to take a pic of them. They came out good if you like onion rings but a little bit on the higher point side if you eat the whole thing.
Tonight we had chicken teriyaki with brown rice and broccoli for 7pts+ it was so delicious!!! I love coming up with random ideas with things we have in the house and things I normally wouldn't think of and they come out so yummy.

I saw on kenlies blog the other day about using the recipe builder for meals that you eat because it factors in the calorie amount for veggies and fruits and actually can change the points+ amount and I have noticed a differnce in the scale this week with following that method. You still count fruits and veggies when eating them by themselves but when making a recipe with them always throw them in. I think she got the info from a ww meeting. It's nice to get tips from people that go to meetings since you don't get as much info as being online.

Tomorrow I'll be doing some cardio in the mid morning then some weight lifting again tomorrow night along with about 15mins on the elliptical. I have the nrolfw book that I am going to start reading and get a plan going so I'm looking forward to that. It's nice to have the fire back and treating this like I did in the beginning and that got me down 25lbs! I only have 25more to go until I hit my end tentative goal and I don't see that being too far away!!

Today will be my first day back to the gym finally!!! I'm going to every day this week alternating cardio and weights except for today and tomorrrow since I doing running on the treadmill tonight and zumba tomorrow. I did fairly well with my points this week.  I only ate off plan twice for dinner. Since both hubby and I were sick we were not in the mood to cook so we ordered a chicken supreme pizza and had some sprite. Then the next night we didn't have any food so we went to the grocery store. He wanted cereal for dinner so he got some captain crunch all berries and I got some sushi. Well the sushi was gross so I had some of the cereal and didn't track it.

This week I'm going to stick to plan 100% and try my best not to use any weeklies and see how much I can lose when I put that together with working out. Hubby and I are on a strict budget since I am working part time so going out to eat isn't really an option. Last night we both felt so lazy since we worked all day and almost went out but he went with cereal again and I had a blt with mac and cheese shirataki so yum!!!!!

I'm going to start trying one new hungry girl recipe a week as well. I love her recipes so much they are so easy to make, and a lot of times I have the ingredients or she uses fairly inexpensive ones. Also each recipe has the points+ amount with them!!! Do any of you have a fave hungry girl recipe??

well I went to my dr yesterday and he said that all of my tests came back normal and that I am pretty much approved to do whatever I want. So that means I'm heading back to the gym!!!! It will be hard at first to get my motivation back since it's been almost a month but I know it will help. Then this morning I wake up with a head cold. A really bad one. So I stayed home from school today to try to rest up and knock this thing out. I have still stuck with my points to make sure I get them all in even though I am not hungry at all. I have watched a few movies and so far it has been pretty relaxing.... I want to add in some strength training thinking of maybe doing nrolfw or maybe something else anyone have any suggestions?

new recipe!!

Only two days left until I get the results from all my heart tests... I really want to go to zumba tomorrow but that's not an option according to my drs orders : ( Today was really good with eating. breakfast had an egg with egg whites scrambled with salsa along with an orange and turkey bacon and a glass of milk. Lunch was a sandwhich on hg's new flatout bread with lunch meat and black beans. For dinner we had mahi mahi with black beans and cottage cheese.I also made an "appetizer" from the hg website. They were 4pts+ for two taquito's here is the recipe

1/4cup fat free cheddar and 1/4 cup salsa mixed

3oz chicken breast shredded, 3tbs onion, 1/8tsp onion powder, 1/8salt, 1/8 cayenne,
take 4 corn tortillas and warm them up in the micro with wet ppr towels

1tbs of the salsa mix

3tbs of the chicken mix

rolled into these and baked for 15min at 350

They came out so good!!!

I have some wonton wrappers that I am planning on using this week I'll post the recipe if anyone is interested!! Had a great day eating wise and looking forward to tomorrow too!!!

I'm ready!

So it's time to get back in the habit of daily blogging. I don't know why I am so lazy but I am revamping my life. No more sitting around at home when things need to be clean no more putting off stuff to the last min and no more being lazy when it comes to cooking dinner. I owe it to myself and my heart to live a better more active lifestyle! I am hoping that on Tuesday at my dr.apt they clear meto where I can get back into working out. I'm still striving for a 10lb loss by vegas next month (the 15th) and another 5-10lost by thanksgiving.

A few different things have been motivating me more then ever lately and make me want to take the plan as seriously as I used to. Hubby has been killing it with his fitness goal he is getting pretty muscular and has been staying consistant with his workout routine when it was like pulling teeth to get him there before.
The second thing is, his brother found out how much he is gaining and inspired him to lose weight since he has put on about 30lbs of fat. I haven't seen his brother since before I started any of my losing weight so I would like to be at goal before he comes home from Christmas and that would put me at 50lbs lost!!! Also of course I want to do it for myself. I went to the goodwill the other day and bought some clothes in a smaller size and they are super cute!! Some even have the original tags! I really want to fit into them so that is another motivator.

I have been watching the hungry girl show on food network and she has a ton of good ideas! Nice thing is if you like a recipe she makes she puts the full recipe on the site along with the p+ amount. She always talks about these noodles on her show
they are shirataki tofu noodles they are only 1pt for the whole bag or 0 for half. They taste exactly like normal pasta but have a bit of a different consistency but I still love them!!! They satisfy my pasta craving big time and are awesome when you add any kind of protein to them! they are normally like 1-2 bucks a bag. Anyway I would highly recommend them for anyone who is into carbs!!! (who isn't) do you have any new food finds that you are lovin that are low point options??? achy breaky heart

So once again it's been a while since I have written here. I am still reading and commenting as much as I can but life has been so crazy now that I have added school into the mix. I recently decided to pretty much start fresh with ww since I never got back on plan after vacation. I reset all my data with them as far as all my previous weigh ins. I weighed in this last Sunday a.m. and it showed 170.2 so that is my new starting number. My tracker at the bottom right of my blog will still go off of my total weight lost from day one. I will never forget my starting point but I felt that I slacked a lot for a month so starting over was the best thing. My new goal for 5% is 161.7 which will be my all time lowest weight since I started. I have been seeing some decent numbers lately and I'm almost back to my pre vacation weight I'm happy I only put on about 5lbs in a month. It makes me feel that maintenance is doable. I didn't really follow any plan and ate seriously whatever I wanted so if I only put on 5 doing that I know I can stay at what I want in maintenance. Getting in physical activity though is a different story. I have been having some heart issues and am not allowed to work out per dr's orders until they can figure out what's wrong or rule out everything. I had been having some heart palipatations for about 3days nothing crazy but it was a constant feeling then one day when I was at work I got super dizzy and my vision got blurry and I felt as if I was going to pass out. I figured it could be something serious and I need to get to the dr so they got me in same day and ran an ekg which came back abnormal. I had to go see a cardiologist the next day and he said he didn't think it was anything to worry about but he wants to rule everything out so no physical activity until then. So needless to say I have had blood work, an ekg, I had to wear a 24hr heart monitor, do a stress test and have an echocardiagram done and I will have my results on the 13th. It sucks because I really want to work out and being told I can't makes me want to more lol. But with that being said I have been working hard to eat super good and on plan since I can't balance it out with working out. It's amazing how easy it is to eat what your suppose to with a little bit of effort. I'm looking forward to what I see on the scale Sunday I'm ready to be at goal already. (who isn't) So thank you everyone for sticking with me and thank you to all my new followers sorry to be a disappointment but I hope you stick around once I can workout again I'll be posting more often!!!! I'll try to start doing daily posts again regardless though : )
